Alexander McQueen S/S 2001 Pink Printed Cowl-Neck Slip Dress

From the S/S 2001 'Voss' collection of Alexander McQueen, this slip dress is executed in a pink-ground printed fabric carrying the house's signature large-scale psychedelic paisley and feather motifs rendered in olive, sage, burgundy, ecru, pale blue and yellow. The body is cut on the bias, producing a close, body-skimming silhouette that flares slightly at the hem. The front neckline is draped into a deep cowl, while the back is cut straight across, sitting above the bust. Two narrow pale-pink straps extend from the front, crossing at the back and converging into a single Y-brace that fastens at the centre back with a small metal clip and slider hardware, allowing the straps to be adjusted or removed. The hem is finished with a fine overlock and falls at approximately knee length with a subtle fluted edge.
