From the F/W 2000 collection of Miu Miu, this pencil skirt is worked in a dense black and ivory boucle-woven houndstooth, the repeat composed of interlocking cross motifs that give the cloth a pronounced textural relief. The silhouette is straight and close-fitting through the hip, cut to a midi length and finished at the centre-front hem with a narrow kick vent that allows ease of movement. A broad waistband in a contrasting dark taupe smooth fabric — distinct in weight and surface from the boucle body — crowns the skirt and lends a deliberate tonal counterpoint. The skirt is fully lined in a dark woven fabric visible at the interior. Closure appears to be at the side or back.
