From the S/S 2000 collection of John Galliano, this bias-cut midi skirt is executed in a high-lustre burgundy satin. The bias grain is evident in the fluid diagonal drape across the body and the gently flared, asymmetric hem. A fitted, plain waistband sits at the natural waist, and a column of small self-covered buttons runs along the left side seam from waistband to hip, functioning as the primary closure in conjunction with what appears to be a concealed zip at the top of the placket. The back panel is shaped with a curved seam at the hip, lending a close fit through the seat that releases into the fluted lower skirt. The hem falls at approximately midi length. Finishing throughout is clean and precise.

Size S (IT40/FR36) — Cut close through the waist and hip; best suited to a true EU 32 / FR 34.
