John Galliano F/W 1999 Black & Ivory Chevron Intarsia Cropped Blazer And Midi Skirt Set

From the F/W 1999 collection of John Galliano, this two-piece set comprises a cropped blazer and a coordinating midi skirt worked in a bold black-and-ivory chevron intarsia, with geometric diamond motifs at the cuffs, lapel facing, and sleeve panels. The blazer features a wide shawl-style lapel with a dark ribbed facing, a fitted body that tapers at the hem, long sleeves with gathered ribbed cuffs, and a single oversized disc-shaped button at the centre front. The back presents a clean mirrored chevron construction. The skirt is cut with a broad ribbed waistband and a wrap-style front panel in a diagonal twill intarsia, bordered by solid black ribbed panels at the hem and underlay. A large carved disc button fastens the waistband at the hip. The hem falls to midi length with a front vent formed by the wrap construction.
