John Galliano F/W 2005 Brown Lambskin Ruched Wide-Collar Cropped Jacket

From the F/W 2005 collection of John Galliano, this cropped jacket is cut from supple lambskin in a warm chocolate brown. The defining feature is an oversized, draped shawl collar that sweeps broadly across the shoulders and chest, its surface gathered into soft ruching that contrasts with the clean, fitted body beneath. The front closes with three tonal brown buttons set in a single-breasted configuration. Curved seam panelling — topstitched throughout — sculpts the torso and continues across the back in a chevron arrangement that draws the eye inward, accentuating the waist. The hip carries a pair of patch pockets with ruched lower edges that echo the collar treatment. Long set-in sleeves taper to a narrow, topstitched cuff. The hem is finished with a straight topstitched band. The jacket is lined in what appears to be a dark silk.
