John Galliano F/W 2000 Khaki Brown Floral-Appliqué Double-Breasted Jacket And Shift Dress Ensemble

From the F/W 2000 collection of John Galliano, this two-piece ensemble comprises a double-breasted jacket and a coordinating sleeveless shift dress, both rendered in a khaki brown fabric and united by a series of dimensional dark navy circular floral appliqués scattered across each piece. The jacket features a wide notched lapel, structured shoulders with pronounced padding, and a double-breasted front fastening with two columns of marbled tortoiseshell-effect buttons. The hemline is cut away to a sharp horizontal line, exposing shaped hip flaps at each side that are fastened with matching buttons. The back is precisely panelled with diagonal seaming at the waist and yoke to create a close, sculpted silhouette, with a central back vent and two further buttoned flap pockets at the hip. Sleeve cuffs carry a trio of matching buttons. The accompanying dress is sleeveless with a rounded bateau neckline and a close-fitted, straight-cut body that falls to above the knee, carrying the same appliqué motif in a scattered arrangement across the front.
