The fitted bodice is cut with a sweetheart neckline and an off-shoulder drape, with fabric gathered and twisted at the centre front into a pronounced knot at the bust and a second knot at the low hip, articulating the figure through ruching that extends from décolletage to the skirt join. Cap sleeves are formed from two tiers of finely ruffled, lighter-weight fabric, lending a delicate contrast in texture and weight against the more structured bodice.
