From the F/W 1999 collection of Blumarine, this maxi skirt is cut in a slim, column silhouette from a crisp iridescent taffeta that shifts between deep forest green and near-black depending on the light. The straight waistband sits flat with no visible external closure hardware from the front; a discreet side seam runs the full length. A raised horizontal seam demarcated by fine metallic chain-stitch trim divides the body from a deep border panel at the hem. That border is worked in dense allover metallic thread embroidery forming a repeating geometric honeycomb lattice, punctuated throughout by floral rosette motifs constructed from iridescent sequins layered in a concentric petal arrangement. The hem falls to full maxi length with a straight, unvented finish.
