Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford F/W 2004 Rive Gauche Red Satin-Finish Blouson Shirt

From the F/W 2004 collection of Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, this crimson blouson shirt merges the codes of a utility jacket with fluid, lustrous fabrication. The standing band collar fastens at the neck with a self-covered button, continuing down the centre front placket via a column of matching covered buttons. The body is structured with two patch pockets at the chest, each secured by a flap and a covered button, and two further open patch pockets set lower on the torso, all topstitched in tone. A fitted ribbed band in a deeper shade of red anchors the hem, lending the piece its cropped, blouson silhouette. The full-length sleeves are generously cut with a pronounced puff at the shoulder-head; they taper dramatically toward gathered cuffs that close with a drawstring tie, producing a languid, bloused volume along the sleeve length.
