Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford F/W 2003 Black Sheer Ruffled Top

From the F/W 2003 collection of Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford, this fitted top contrasts a sheer, semi-transparent body with an opaque ruffled front panel. The deep V-neckline is framed by a cascade of layered ruffles with delicately lettuce-edged trim that runs vertically down the centre front, continuing to a softly fluted hem. The long sleeves are cut from a sheer stretch fabric throughout, finishing at the wrist with a narrow opaque cuff band. At the rear, the body remains entirely sheer, structured by lightly padded shoulders and closed at the centre back with a concealed zip. A wide horizontal ruffle tier sits at the waist on the reverse, echoing the front's fluid detailing. The silhouette is close-fitting and subtly peplum-like at the hip.
