Plein Sud 2000s Mauve Sheer Mesh Ruched Tie-Strap Bustier Top

This Plein Sud top from the 2000s is constructed in a sheer open-weave mesh throughout, ruched horizontally across both the front and back panels to create a gathered, body-contouring silhouette. A central vertical ribbon trim in a higher-sheen satin-finish runs the full length of the front and back, anchoring the radiating ruche lines that fan outward from the centre. The hemline is asymmetric, falling into two pointed handkerchief points at the front sides and a central ribbon tab at the back, lending a deliberately raw, deconstructed finish. Thin satin-ribbon straps are tied into bows at each shoulder, adjustable by length. The neckline is a shallow sweetheart-adjacent scoop. The overall silhouette is fitted through the torso, flaring very slightly at the hip before the pointed hem drops away.
