From the S/S 1997 collection of Dolce & Gabbana, this maxi skirt is cut from a sheer, lightweight woven fabric printed with an oversized painterly floral motif — large-scale blooms in rose, dusty pink, amber, ochre and ivory dispersed across a near-black ground. The silhouette is straight and column-like, fitted at the waist with a flat, narrow waistband finished in a darker self-toned border. A concealed closure is positioned at the centre back waist. The skirt falls in a fluid, semi-transparent column to maxi length, with a softly curved hem that dips slightly at the back. The sheer quality of the fabric renders the print luminous against the dark ground, the botanical motif drawn with the loose, saturated quality of a watercolour.
Size M (IT42/FR38) — Waist measures 38 cm flat (76 cm circumference); best suits a waist of approximately 74–78 cm.
