D&G S/S 2001 Leopard-Print Ruffled Slip Midi Dress

From the S/S 2001 collection of D&G, this slip-style midi dress is cut in a semi-sheer fabric printed with an all-over leopard motif in tones of ecru, tawny gold, and dark brown. The silhouette is fluid and bias-influenced, falling from a V-neckline edged with a cascading ruffle that extends from the décolletage down the centre-front, creating a vertical frill panel. A second, wider ruffle frames one shoulder asymmetrically, lending the neckline an off-shoulder flourish. Narrow spaghetti straps support the bodice, with one strap rendered in a contrasting dark tone. The skirt flares gently from the hip to a handkerchief-style hem with a softly lettuce-edged finish, adding further movement to the silhouette. A concealed zip closure is visible at the side seam.
