From the S/S 2006 collection of Christian Dior by John Galliano, this bar jacket is cut with the sharply structured shoulders and waist-suppressed silhouette associated with the house's founding Bar archetype. The pointed collar is edged with a narrow leather binding that continues along the asymmetric single-breasted placket, closing with a column of domed fabric-covered buttons. The right front panel, collar point and cuffs carry dense hand-embellished decoration: sequinned flower motifs with crystal cluster centres are connected by trails of fine black beadwork, creating a flowering vine effect that is deliberately confined to one side. At the rear, a horizontal leather strap sits at waist level, reinforcing the corseted line. The cuffs feature a leather tab detail and repeat the beaded floral motif from the front. The back is clean and unembellished, allowing the precise seaming — a curved back seam and side-panel construction — to define the silhouette.
