From the S/S 1998 collection of Christian Dior by John Galliano, this slip dress exemplifies the house's lingerie-as-outerwear sensibility of the period. Cut in a body-skimming silhouette, the dress is executed in a lustrous satin-finish fabric printed with an all-over white polka dot pattern on a mauve ground. A deep V-neckline at the front is framed by a wide ivory floral lace trim that extends across the bust in a shaped panel, lending a boudoir quality to the construction.
