From the F/W 1998 collection of Christian Dior by John Galliano, this fitted jacket is constructed in an ivory tone-on-tone floral brocade, the woven pattern running continuously across the body and long sleeves. The silhouette is closely tailored, with vertical seaming at the back panel creating a pronounced waist suppression. A voluminous shawl-style collar and full-length frontal trim in silver fox fur — characterised by long, dark guard hairs tipped in white and silver — drapes from the shoulder line to the hem, framing the open front. The fur narrows at the waist and broadens again toward a sweeping tail at the base. The jacket closes at the front without visible external fastenings, and the fur trim functions as a wrap element. A matching brocade belt is included.
Size S (IT40/FR36) — Tailored cut with close waist suppression; best suited to a true small.
