From the F/W 1998 collection of Christian Dior by John Galliano, this fitted jacket is constructed in a salt-and-pepper woven cloth with a fine salt-and-white fleck throughout. The silhouette is closely tailored, with pronounced waist suppression and a gently curved hem. A deep V-neckline opens into a collarless shawl-style lapel, the entire front opening, collar surround and cuff edges finished with a dense, looped fringe trim in the same black-and-white yarn as the ground cloth. The single-button fastening at the waist is a small fabric-covered ball button in a coordinating black-and-white woven textile. Two flap pockets sit at the hip. Long fitted sleeves terminate in matching fringe-trimmed cuffs. The back is unadorned, allowing the precise cut and seaming to speak for themselves.
Size S (IT40/FR36) — Cut close to the body; best suited to a true size S / FR 36.
