12/12Chloé by Karl Lagarfeld 1980s Ruched Rhinestone-Trimmed Maxi Dress
From the 1980s archive of Chloé by Karl Lagerfeld, this black maxi dress is constructed in a fine jersey that drapes closely to the body. The front bodice features sustained central ruching that extends from the deep V-neckline to the lower hip, creating a continuous gathered panel that defines the silhouette. A central front zip fastening runs through the length of the ruched panel and is flanked on either side by a continuous line of closely set round rhinestones, the same rhinestone trim tracing the V-neckline and extending the full length of the narrow shoulder straps. The back neckline is straight and unadorned, with the rhinestone straps continuing over the shoulder. The skirt falls in a fluid, unstructured drape from the hip, flaring gently toward the hem.
Size S (IT40/FR36) — Cut close to the body with stretch; the ruched front panel offers some adjustability across the bust and waist.
