From the S/S 2008 collection of Valentino, this colour-block mini dress is constructed with a structured strapless violet-purple body and an overlaid mint-green draped panel. The panel sweeps diagonally from the upper left shoulder strap point across the front of the body, gathering into a central knotted arrangement at the waist before falling and draping toward the hem on the opposite side. The terminal edges of the gathered bow are finished with a dense double band of pavé-set rhinestone trim, adding a concentrated point of embellishment at the waist. The body of the dress is close-fitted and smooth, cut to a short hemline. The reverse shows the draped panel wrapping around to the back, with the purple body remaining unadorned.
