5/5Valentino F/W 2005 Brown Herringbone Tweed Harness-Strap Jacket
From the F/W 2005 collection of Valentino, this tailored jacket is constructed in a flecked herringbone tweed in tonal brown and ecru. The silhouette is closely fitted through the body, with structured shoulders and a centre-front zip closure running from the hem to a wide notched collar. The most distinctive feature is an applied harness of tan strapping that crosses diagonally across the chest in an X-formation, anchored at each shoulder by a small rectangular brass-toned buckle; the same strapping continues as a waist belt at the back, fastened with a matching buckle at centre-back. Two patch pockets sit at the lower front, and a single back vent is visible at the hem. The jacket is lined in a smooth brown fabric. The overall effect balances equestrian tailoring references with a precisely fitted, architectural cut.
