5/5Valentino 2000s Red Sheer Ruffled Peplum Blouse
From the 2000s archive of Valentino, this blouse is composed in a sheer, lightweight fabric throughout, rendered in a vivid red. The bodice is constructed in a more opaque panel, opening to a deep V-neckline framed by cascading, layered ruffles with delicately finished edges. The sheer long sleeves are cut with generous volume and close at the cuff with a fine ribbed band. A broad, opaque elasticated waistband defines the silhouette, from which a gathered, sheer peplum skirt falls and floats freely. To the rear, the blouse fastens with a concealed zip set into the left side seam, and a self-fabric sash tie is attached at the waist, passing through to the back to be knotted. A small pointed collar sits at the nape. The overall construction contrasts opaque and sheer panels with considered precision.
