Roberto Cavalli S/S 2004 Ivory Orchid-Print Halterneck Mini Dress
From the S/S 2004 collection of Roberto Cavalli, this body-conscious mini dress is executed in a large-scale photographic orchid print rendered in coral, dusty rose, burgundy and sage green against an ivory ground. The halterneck construction features a self-fabric tie that fastens at the nape, leaving the back entirely open. The bodice is defined by a horizontal panel at the underbust that structures the silhouette, with a central front tie terminating in a small gold-tone chain and charm detail. The skirt section is cut to follow the body closely, with visible seaming at the centre back that runs the full length of the garment and contributes to the fitted drape. The hem falls at mid-thigh.
