Roberto Cavalli S/S 2003 Black And Red Chinoiserie Floral-Panel Sleeveless Top
From the S/S 2003 collection of Roberto Cavalli, this sleeveless top is constructed from two visually distinct panels joined by a diagonal seam trimmed with a narrow satin-finish piping. The front is worked in a close-ribbed black knit with a square scoop neckline and broad fixed shoulder straps. The centre front opens via a series of frog-style knotted loop fastenings, and the closure terminates at the lower front with a suspended ornamental charm comprising gold-tone filigree links, red beads and a crystal drop pendant. The reverse of the garment is cut from a red ground floral-printed fabric carrying a large-scale chinoiserie motif — peonies, chrysanthemums, foliage and bird forms rendered in teal, ivory, lilac and ochre — transitioning into a black ground continuation of the same print towards the hem. The back neckline forms a deep V. The hem is gently flared and finished with a fine picot or chain-stitch edge. The interior is lined in a red mesh ground consistent with the printed back fabric.
Size L (IT44/FR40) — Cut close through the torso; the flared hem and front frog closure allow some adjustment.
