Roberto Cavalli F/W 2007 Ivory And Blue Baroque Floral-Print Maxi Dress
From the F/W 2007 collection of Roberto Cavalli, this sleeveless maxi dress is cut in a body-skimming silhouette that flares gently toward the hem. The front presents a deep V-neckline with a small hardware fastening at the apex, while the reverse is finished with a wide, rounded bateau-style neckline, creating an asymmetric front-to-back contrast. Broad shoulder straps frame both views. The ivory ground is animated by a placement print of cobalt blue acanthus scrolls and baroque floral motifs: a mirrored arrangement adorns the bodice at the front, a generous asymmetric spray covers the upper back, and a dense border print in cobalt blue and slate grey — incorporating floral clusters, scrolling foliage and fine tonal detail — sweeps around the lower skirt from approximately knee height to the hemline. A horizontal seam delineates the waist. The skirt falls in a gradual trumpet flare, finishing at maxi length with a softly scalloped hem edge that follows the contours of the border print.
