From the S/S 2008 collection of Prada, this strapless mini dress is constructed around a boned or structured bodice with a sweetheart-adjacent, slightly curved bustline finished with a fine frill or raw-edged trim at the top. The bodice is ruched at centre front, converging into diagonal bands that extend across the full skirt in overlapping, blade-like ruffled layers, each with a lightly finished or deliberately raw edge. The layering is arranged on a pronounced diagonal axis, beginning tightly at the upper bodice and loosening into broader, more voluminous flounces toward the hem. The back is smooth and panelled with visible boning channels, closing at centre back with a concealed zip and a column of fabric-covered buttons above. The hem is irregular and asymmetric, with sheer underlayer sections visible at the lower hem.
