From the F/W 2000 collection of Prada, this sleeveless midi dress is cut close to the body in a form-fitting silhouette. The square-edged scoop neckline is echoed at the back, both finished with broad, structured strap panels trimmed with gathered sheer ruffled frills — a delicate contrast to the otherwise restrained construction. Horizontal seam panelling defines the empire line beneath the bust and again at the natural waist, lending subtle architectural structure to the bodice. The skirt falls in a column through the hip before releasing into a slight flare toward the hem, which is finished with a floating layer of sheer fabric, providing a featherlight underlayer visible at the hem perimeter. The dress has no visible external closure, suggesting either a concealed zip or stretch construction.
