From the F/W 2001 collection of Junya Watanabe, this midi skirt is constructed in scarlet wool, interrupted across the lower half by a sequence of horizontal sheer bands that create a tiered, wave-like effect as the volume expands towards the hem. The upper portion is cut straight and smooth, fitted at the waist with a structured waistband. Below the midpoint, five graduated sheer inset panels — each progressively wider — alternate with solid fabric tiers, lending the skirt a rhythmic, almost architectural quality. The silhouette flares decisively through the lower half, finishing with a final sheer band at the hem. Closure is by a concealed zip positioned at the back right of the waistband.
