From the S/S 2000 collection of John Galliano, this midi skirt is cut on the bias in a lustrous satin-weave fabric that catches the light with a warm bronze sheen. The high waist is shaped by vertical seaming that contours through the hip before releasing into a gently flared, fishtail-influenced hem with fluid godets. A column of self-covered buttons runs along the left side seam from waistband to hip, functioning as the opening detail and providing a delicate decorative accent in keeping with Galliano's couture sensibility. Seams are precisely placed to sculpt the silhouette, and the hem falls to midi length with a softly undulating edge.
