Gucci by Tom Ford F/W 2004 White Panelled Fitted Shirt
From the F/W 2004 collection of Gucci by Tom Ford, this white shirt demonstrates the era's hallmark precision tailoring applied to a classic shirting format. Cut to a closely fitted silhouette, the body is articulated through an elaborate system of topstitched panels that trace the torso from chest to hip, creating a corseted effect without boning. The front placket is concealed, preserving a clean vertical line. At the chest, two structured patch pockets with angular flaps and a stepped lower edge add a utilitarian counterpoint to the body-conscious cut. The pointed collar is moderately spread. Long set-in sleeves taper to wide, double-button barrel cuffs. The back repeats the panelling vocabulary, with symmetrical topstitched sections fanning out from the centre back yoke and converging at the waist before flaring gently over the hips.
