Gucci by Tom Ford F/W 1999 Black Suede Mongolian Fur-Trimmed Shearling Jacket

From the F/W 1999 collection of Gucci by Tom Ford, this jacket exemplifies the collection's studied dialogue between sleek tailoring and untamed texture. The body is cut from black suede in a close-fitting, waist-suppressed silhouette with set-in long sleeves. A deeply plunging V-neckline is framed by a voluminous shawl collar executed in tightly crimped Mongolian lamb, which continues as a broad front placket panel running the full length of the opening. The hem and sleeve cuffs are finished with a dense, long-haired fur border — visibly distinct in texture from the Mongolian collar — creating a layered contrast of curl against straight strand.
