7/7Gianni Versace F/W 1992 Black Leather Medusa-Button Mini Shorts
From the F/W 1992 collection of Gianni Versace, these leather mini shorts are a compelling example of the house's signature maximalism applied to tailored sportswear. Cut to a high waist with a structured integrated waistband finished in topstitching, the shorts feature a clean back panel with a concealed centre-back zip closure and vertical seam detailing. The defining ornamental element is a vertical run of antique-gold tone buttons set along each outer side seam — four to each leg — cast with a raised Medusa head at centre and a Greek-key meander border, functioning as decorative press-studs through leather loop tabs. The front presents a curved hip yoke seam above a large patch-style hip pocket on the left side, echoed in miniature by a coin pocket at the right hip, both accented with the same Medusa hardware. The leg opening is cut straight and unlined in appearance at the hem, with edge-stitched finishing throughout. The leather has developed a characteristic patina consistent with age.
