This Gianni Versace piece from the 1990s is a strapless midi dress worked in a stark two-tone palette. The body is cut in black, fitted through the torso and falling to a knee-grazing midi length with a narrow centre-back vent. Contrasting the dark skirt, a wide structured bustier band in ivory frames the décolletage, its upper edge folding softly outward. At the centre front of that band, an oversized sculptural bow — fashioned from the same ivory fabric and knotted at its centre — provides the sole decorative flourish, commanding the silhouette with characteristic Versace theatricality. Vertical seaming through the body panel lends a discreet shaping line to the rear, and the dress fastens via a concealed zip at the centre back.
