D&G S/S 2005 Peach Tropical Floral Panelled Lace-Insert Pencil Skirt
From the S/S 2005 collection of D&G, this pencil skirt is constructed from a peach satin-finish ground printed with a dense tropical floral motif in shades of coral, orange, fuchsia, yellow, and white. The body is assembled from multiple diagonal panels, with the printed satin alternating against inserts of pale celadon green lace, creating a chevron-like arrangement that follows the contour of the hip and thigh. The seam allowances between panels are deliberately left exposed on the right side, lending a raw, deconstructed edge to each join. A wide, structured waistband in celadon green fabric runs the full circumference of the skirt and is finished along its upper edge with a white zigzag topstitch detail. The hem falls at approximately knee length. A pale green lace panel is visible at the centre back, integrated into the skirt's panelled construction.
