From the S/S 2001 collection of Christian Dior by John Galliano, this slip dress is constructed from a monogram jacquard fabric worked in an all-over tonal repeat across a body-skimming, midi-length silhouette. Thin spaghetti straps support a shallow V-neckline finished with a scalloped floral lace trim; the same lace borders the hem, lending a deliberate lingerie register to the cut. The dress is close-fitted through the torso and releases very slightly toward the knee, with the jacquard ground providing a matte-and-lustre contrast that animates the surface without added embellishment. The hem falls at approximately midi length with a gently curved lace scallop.
