Christian Dior by John Galliano F/W 2000 Charcoal Pointelle-Knit Mohair Sweater
From the F/W 2000 collection of Christian Dior by John Galliano, this pullover sweater is worked in a fine mohair-weight yarn with a visible halo, producing a semi-sheer open-work fabric throughout. The knit structure employs a repeating chevron and geometric pointelle motif across both the body and the long sleeves, creating a tonal interplay between denser and more open passages. The neckline is a close-fitting mock or stand collar, ribbed and cut with a shallow V-notch at the front. The long sleeves extend to an exaggerated length well beyond the wrist, with a narrow ribbed cuff. The hem is finished with a deeper ribbed band. The silhouette is relaxed across the shoulder and chest, tapering modestly at the waist.
