Blumarine 2000s Aqua Sheer Coral-Print Asymmetric Midi Dress
From the 2000s archive of Blumarine, this midi dress is executed in a sheer printed fabric layered over an integral slip, both carrying a vivid all-over underwater scene: branching coral rendered in coral-red and pink, tropical fish in yellow, blue, violet and green, against a swirling aqua ground. The outer layer is visibly sheer, revealing the slip beneath at the bodice, and the two-layer construction is apparent throughout. The dress is cut on the bias, with a scooped neckline at the front and a deeper scooped back. Narrow self-fabric straps support the bodice, with an additional fine secondary strap visible at the back. The silhouette is body-skimming through the torso, releasing into a flared, multi-panelled skirt. The hemline is cut to an asymmetric handkerchief finish, with pointed panels falling at uneven lengths and edges left with a delicate raw rolled finish. No visible exterior closure; the dress appears to pull on.
